I'd have extended Batths by two years but at the very most I'd have given EEL 18 months with a years option given he's only proving himself in League One. Edwards has earned his deal this season but I'd have given him 18 months given he'll be 31 in February, as it stands he'll be 33 1/2 when his contract ends. I'd say ikemes deal is spot on in terms of his age and ability. Without getting into debate on their ability you have to admit that the contract lengths have been excessive? Of the four I was only surprised by EEL getting an extension. I expected all of them to remain but not for the lengths they now are.
