I imagine those 2 will be on the beach by then tho.
However as it stands there are 3 vying for 2 places so it could go to the wire as could actually winning the title.
None of those 3 would want to drop into the Play Offs.
Last day failure would be ace viewing, heartbroken Vile fans, a crying Greaselish kissing his badge then ****ing off to the Premier league within a week
Sheff Utd way too close
How many times have we been in Villas position and finished just outside the play offs!
Its the hope that kills you.
I expect Villa will make the playoffs and will win them!
I think the assault on Grealish and the way he handled it will prove to be the turning point of their season and galvanise them for the run in
It might well do but you can’t legislate against the fact that there are other teams in the mix too and as we know the Play Offs are a lottery. It’s what you do on the day.
Fancy them to win at least 2 of those games, sadly.
Last year we were consistently the best team over the season and Cardiff were second .Fulham had an iffy start but a great post Christmas.
We never had prolonged losing spells and whilst Cardiff lost all 4 games over Christmas that was about it but Villa had 2 extended periods of poor results ,one under Bruce and the other under Smith and yet they are still in the Play Offs mix and Middlesbrough Bristol City and Derby are all on average/poor runs which emphasises the mediocrity of those vying for places 3-6.
Derby will win the play offs against all odds..
Just to point out that Wolves have an FA cup quarter final against Manchester United at Molineux in 2 days.
Iv given up trying to end this obsession that so many have with a club that have no interest in us, but could we at least put it on hold till Sunday?
Villa remain the biggest threat to us potentially dominating large parts of the West Midlands. Our obsession is with us, and secondarily what impact a resurgent Villa might have on us trying to attract new fans in the area.
I'm well aware of this ( and the many of us helping Pumpking over the next couple of days) but am in the obsessed category and can multi-task occasionally
I did tip them @ 20/1 to win them. Just over a week ago.
Nah, **** the villa!
Fair play mate and good work
Did you invest??
I had £5 at 30/1 last week. Win-win now (still rather lose £5).
You may have a point but I don’t think Fosun will be massively concerned if Villa do achieve an unlikely promotion. While they are trying to tap into the Chinese market and our exposure in Mexico is going through the roof I doubt a few kids in Rugeley or Stafford deciding to buy villa shirts will a massive worry.
Man City have arguably the biggest club in the world 4 miles up the road and they’re doing ok.
Of course. you know me . It will soften the blow!
True, though if we do wind up with a 50,000 seater stadium, I'd prefer the bulk of our 'acquired' future fans in attendance to be reasonably local than a load of plastics from London. Not sure if Citeh suffer that problem yet, but the home atmosphere was total ****e when we went up there.
Fair point but then we never had the forthcoming PFA Footballer of the Year in our team.
Or world footballer of the year lol
The only thing Greasy has in common with Ronaldo is the chip-pan hairdo.....
Don't worry everyone, they're going to fade. 2 points to the playoffs is as close as they will get.
People growing up in Birmingham won't support Wolves. I agree though that we compete over places like Stafford, Worcester, Rugeley and Walsall.
Yep - whole club is galvanized and most of the country are now for them.
Villa have momentum, which at this stage of the season is important. I think they will make the play offs. After that anything can happen.
Look at their form since Jack is back, can’t be blinded on it
Which is why given half a chance someone will put him in the stand and that will be good night villa if he is injured again.
One can wish, I think this is villa only concern is if he gets injured
You do make me smile
That’s one of the least wind-up posts he’s ever made.
Apart from large chunks of the West Midlands, most neutrals will be rooting for the team that had their star so publicly attacked.
Classic underdog/adversity stuff.
i need to ask a question, why does everyone call him 'Jack' instead of 'Grealish' - i always find this really odd
I work in an office full of “neutrals” in the East Midlands - all of them football fans of one team or another (but none of them West Midlands teams) - and nobody gives Villa a second thought and nobody is rooting for them at all. I’d go as far as to say that they’ve all forgotten, already, about the incident at the weekend.
In my experience, inside and outside of work, Villa are on no one’s radar.
MIND THE house, why i pop down to london for a weekend, theres a good neighbour
I have been told numerous times that Villa is the biggest team in the world??
Barcelona would be on a par with them if that Messi chap was as good as Grealish.
But, but the Vile lost to Leamington in the Birmingham Senior Cup tonight
Who knocked us out was it Stourbridge?
Separate names with a comma.
