Bonus point given the circumstances. Honourable mention to Traore who should've come on earlier. Thought Doherty, Neves and Jota were particularly poor. Also don't understand the Costa sub.

Got to force the issue a lot more against sides like Newcastle who are well organised at the back, just aren't aggressive enough going forward. Felt a bit like the Huddersfield game but at least we got a point.

wasn’t too impressed with our subs
Would’ve kept donks on instead of either neves or moutinho
How many more chances will costa get?
Adama should come on in front of him everytime.
But hey ho good result considering

verdict....the lads are fun to watch. It's been a while since I've felt that every time the boys get the ball up front, they are going to score. they are a threat every time they touch it!!

Deserved the point. Got out of jail. Few players off song, and a very poor goal to give away.

First half was good. Should've had an early pen for the shirt pulling on Jota. Some really wasteful chances that we should've buried. Second half was a bit less good and the subs actually made us worse imo.

Newcastle with lots of cheating, fouling and time wasting that on another day could've seen them down to 10 men easily.

Nuno needs to ask himself if it's his system or his players, but there is a chronic issue of not putting lower placed teams away.

Seeing how triggered the geordies have been over our equaliser i’m quite pleased the match panned out the way it did.

We were poor today to many silly errors at the back with misplaced passes. The keeper cant kick and was at fault for the goal. Ive been a big fan of his but he should be dropped for next game.
Neves and moutinho both below par and jota and jimenez were barely able to control the ball and kept running into blind alleys.

We got out of jail big time and if boly hadnt equalised the loss would have been down to doherty missing the easiest chance we have had all season by chickening out and not putting his body on the line and taking a hit.

Oh finally costa should never make a squad 18 again he is crap. Id rather have ennis on the bench or the kit man than him doesnt offer anything and makes us play with virtually 10 men

First match i have seen rather than listened to in a while.
On the whole we were comfortable on the ball, which seemed to be given away most by Doc today it seemed to me.....can't think Bennett did much wrong, although i can imagine some may disagree.
i thought Neves was a little quiet, particularly in comparison to Moutinho and Longstaff for the visitors.
Raul worked really hard, but it didn't quite fall ffor him or Jota today.
I would have been tempted to bring Adama on earlier as they sat deeper.
On balance i thought we had the better of the play, the more chances etc, but in the end was happy for the almost obligatory injury time goal.
Well done big Willy, .......keeper...... should have done better

I don't think we played particularly badly to be honest. Should have had a pen for the foul on Jota early doors. But it felt a lot like a small club coming to a big club, sitting deep to try and grind out what they can. When Newcastle come to us to do that, you know something is going right. We deserved a point and probably shaded it over the course of the whole game, but I think we need one or two big time players in the summer to give us what we need to put sides who will come and park the bus to the sword. A point gained, two points clear of eighth, I don't think we have too much to complain about right now.

Thought we played ok and deserved at least a point. Awful goal to concede and Doc and Raul both missed absolute sitters. Credit to the boys for keeping on going to the end.

Rui 4 - Has to save that.

    Bennett 6
    Coady 6
Boly 5 - Thought he was poor tonight but obviously forgiven for the equaliser.

    Doherty 5
    Neves 6
    Dendoncker 6
    Moutinho 6
    Jonny 7

Raul 5 - Worked really hard but poor decision making and finishing. A rare off-game.
    Jota 6

    Subs:
    Costa 5
    Cav 6
Traore 6 - erratic but he always makes things happen.

The unbeaten run goes on and a most delicious irony that it was Rafa’s ultra-cautious third sub that gave us the extra minute in which we equalised.

Not a point salvaged but 2 blown.

Had the chances and situations to take the game easily but couldn't do it.

Newcastle other than being defensively sound were nothing.

I predicted 1-1 and was tempted to name Boly as the scorer but bottled it. It would have earned me a shed full of points in my prediction league.

We had the chances but were ineffective. Last time we went away we lost the following 3 games as I recall. A draw was fair. Roll on Sunday.

We did. It's how the game goes sometimes. We are gettng there and are still a work in progress. Sometimes some of us need to take a step back and realise that. We're not the finished article, but for once in my life I do truly think that we will get there.

its like the ****** newcastle united show on sky ......ok we missed some chances but they got a lucky goal and had no other chances of note ,expected goals were 6 times greater in our favour . Newcastle were great at fouling and slowing play , 9 men behind the ball . hope Jota ok as he was feeling his shoulder at the end .

Did more than enough to earn a point, though kept shooting straight at Dubravka. Two howlers in a week for him, should have punched it clear.

Bit subdued in the second half as Newcastle seemed to control the game for a period after scoring but we need to be more clinical in front of goal against defensive teams.

Seeing lots of Newcastle complaints about the timing of the goal but they wasted as much time making the sub.

Let’s see how they twist these comments on that fanzine site...

Two dropped points, Newcastle are horrible. But we were off the pace today, big style. Massive drop in performance from Everton and West Ham. But we’d have won without Ruis clanger. Not sure how I feel lol!

Newcastle are no mugs and the type of team that if you let in the first goal they are excellent at killing the game so overall think we persevered well.

One thing, think Cav is a far better corner kick taker than Moutinho so should always take them when on.

Despite the remarkable late equaliser, I'm not happy with that. We've seen that performance on repeat at Molineux several times this season. Slow, ponderous. Nuno needs to figure out how to get in behind the defensive block, or sign better quality in the Summer, because that tactic is going to be more prevalent in our second season.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nuno went for better in the summer. Rui doesn't command his box and he's no good with the ball at his feet. Like the best teams we should be playing out from the back but he boots it long everytime. I was excited when we signed him but he's nothing special at all.

Ruddy will play on Sunday, I'm sure of it..and that's because it's a Cup game.

Newcastle with anti football Pulis style we did well in parts but Raul's finishing was woeful tonight credit to the lads for not giving up great goal by Willy you could see how much it meant to him and a big shout for Traore who on that showing should be the first one off the bench

I think it was a very good performance from everyone bar the forwards and the keeper. We were the better team by a mile. We had enough half chances to

Newcastle have one of the best defences in the league and other than the goal(which should have been saved) didn't really have any meaningful chances. The goal albeit a fluke was clearly deserved; we'd been knocking on the door all game.

A good point. Still 7th. No divine right to roll over these teams.
