This is Painful
8-0 to City.
But just imagine the press when Burton come back to score 10 in the home leg and make the final!
Burton should just rush 10 Men into the Man City Box and have a cheeky shot
This is taking the micky now. I'm all for giving your all and being authentic but I think City should take it down a notch now. It doesn't show much class to run riot with your ridiculously expensive team and international billionare owners against minnows like Burton, a small community club with whose team probably cost less than the weekly wage of one of City's superstars.
City are about to cross the disrespectful line. Just play keep ball for 20 mins FFS.
Well I was gonna put it at seven but they got the eighth a bit quick!
They’re scoring from almost every attack
City scoring with increasing frequency - they could still get 11 and break the record.
Biggest aggregate semi win (I'd forgotten) was only 5 years ago Man City 9 West Ham 0
Good luck avoiding that Nigel
I take it back. Burtons chairman is wearing a half and half scarf.
We want 12.
They’d still lose 20-10
In all fairness, City are taking the cups seriously unlike that sad crowd from Anfield.
Nonsense, they're professionals and should compete!
Apparently a Burton fan left London at 1300 hours and because of the traffic delays on the M6 she got in when the 8th went in.
I think it’s sad and a reflection of how premiership money has devalued competitions like this. I want Wolves to be great again. To be honest? I wish it could have happened as football was before the premiership and sky money
City are clinical
Exactly sure we'd be singing we want 9
sorry for Burton but they done well to get this far just the gulf in class now is massive.
Was she the goalkeeper??
At least Burton will get prize money getting this far.
Just looking at the record ... 10-0 in league cup
Liverpool in 1986 v Fulham
West Ham in 1983 v Bury
I agree. And they have. But at 7/8/9 nil it isn’t a competitive game anymore, it’s taking the **** and totally unnecessary.
Burton would have done better by knocking it into touch every time they get the ball.
Yes this cup run, while ending horribly for them, will give enough of a financial boost to see Burton through a couple of years.
Should beat the aggregate record ... winning margin 11 goals
13-2 Liverpool v Fulham (as above)
12-1 West Ham v Bury (as above)
And 3 have won 11-0 (Liverpool, Watford and Everton)
This will.come back to bite Citeh in the **** IMHO. Hopefully against us but if not certainly down the line somewhere.
Bad karma for sure.
Should have given MOTM to a Burton player. For a laugh..
Bloody need it, I was amazed to see their wage bill is £8m before the game, they have no way of financing that in League One
Fair play to Burton .That was awful for them .Talk about rope a dope.
The home leg is going to be a hard game for Burton player to lift themselves for after that.
I see Burton have softened City up for us.
Absolutely. And if Burton had tried to defend for the first 85 minutes like they tried to stop them getting into double figures it may well have been a far more respectable scoreline
Yep City's confidence must be shot to pieces now!
Who's going for 0-9 prediction for Monday?
Tbf Burton didn't play badly! There was just a huuuuuuuuuuuge gulf in class between them, no surprise and no shame.
The tie is over so just go out and play
I'd love it personally if we beat someone 9-0, Stoke maybe?
Separate names with a comma.
