They’ve decided to talk about everyone else outside the top 6 from 7pm
To be fair drive time has talked a lot about us this week so we can hardly complain
That’s how they’ve billed it! But spent the first 15 minutes talking about United!
Because we will be replacing United in the Top 6
Talked about us last night just after 9pm. Seemed to think we were going to struggle and have some rocky patches but would have enough to survive but no chance of top ten. Two said they were uneasy about Mendes (will this *******s never end?) Compared to Fulham who they reckoned were by far the best footballing side last season and have had a tremendous transfer window. The London bias was sickening. Fulham had done great business keeping hold of Cairney and Sessegnon ( but keeping Neves and signing Boly and Jota doesn’t qualify) and signing Seri was the signing of the summer.top ten was well within reach for them.
Who was speaking? Probably low grade London journos who've seen more of Fulham. Don't worry about it. Give us a few months....
It’s always the same , as I’ve said many times .
Let’s show them and ram it back down their throats .
I noticed the same thing in the Copa90 video posted yesterday. When talking about Neves they said after a good season he’ll be moving on the greener pastures, but when talking about sessegnon nothing of the sort.
I missed the Fulham bit but I heard them on about us. What I have decided though is that anyone who says Fulham played better football than us last season doesn't know what they're on about or were so busy in their London bubble that they never watched Wolves, and the only time they may have was erased from their memory because we should really have beaten Fulham about six at Molineux
Why is it assumed Seri will be such a great signing? He's hardly got the profile of Moutinho...
I heard the section about Wolves, and I thought on the whole they were pretty fair.
These are the same washed up dinosaurs who said we didn't have a hope in hell last year in the Championship. I would be intrigued to know what they said about Neil "Friend of the Station" Warnock's Cardiff.
Excited to announce I've been invited down to TalkSport towers to join them in the studio at 11pm this evening guys. Joined by a Fulham fan - not sure why the seem to continually position us against Fulham - but make sure you tune in 11-11.30pm. Jason Cundy show I believe.
A bit late for me, but I'll have a listen back to it in the morning.
Think its been Darren Lewis and Robson doing that slot this week so far, will tune in.
Last night's was embarrassing, didn't know anything about our players, no strengths and weaknesses, just we have Neves who was 'one' of the best players in the champ last year. Uneasy over mendes because players can't decide where they want to go followed up by it's a win win for players and the club. Massive London bias over Fulham, the same as the start of last season.
Will look forward to listening to this.
Give it to em Gully, testify!!!
Well there's the opening monologue for our Premier League season review a la Chris Powell last year
Charlie Wyett [The Sun] & Clive Allen.
Free @gullykular , (just in case he is taken hostage
Jason Cundy called Nunez instead of Neves... Sure they said Cairney was technically the best player in the league last season??
Did seem as though both guests disagreed with Cundy though and felt Neves was the better. Gully seemed mortified at the comment in the "Nah, I'm not having that" way!!
Good stuff @gullykular, very positive... even the conservative four points from first three games!
Darren Lewis with that "Need a 20 goal a season striker" & "But that's in the Championship" nonsense.
I don't think many of these journo's and presenters watch much Championship football at all tbh. The opinion of someone like Jason Cundy, some ****** from the Sun, Darren Gough or Didi Hammann on whether Wolves will do well this season means nothing really. We haven't even finished signing players yet so its pretty difficult for anyone to make too many bold assertions about how we will fare.
Yes I agree , let’s do what we know we can and shut these lot up !
Listen back at the link above. From the dropdown menu select 23.00-23.30 and I'll be on within that time frame.
Found them both to be very friendly and amiable and their radio persona is definitely that - a persona. Also encouraged us to bite back whenever possible. I didn't expect them to be overly knowledgeable as they were very happy to admit they didn't care about the Championship!
I see Bob Mills mentioned my idea i posted on the forum regarding the World cup that it should be like the eurovision song contest that the winner hosts the next cup
Just been talking about the racing post’s predictions of finishing positions for the upcoming season. Got us down to finish 9th. Can’t think of his name, but the bloke from the racing post says Wolves were regarded by many to be “the best team ever to come out of the Championship.”
Ah yes that names rings a bell!
I had TS on my car radio this morning not realising that fat **** Brazil was back on. What a bad start to the week
Darren Lewis is embarrassing keep mentioning "...but that's the Championship" FFS most of the Premier League teams have played in the Championship in the last 5 years !!! There's also a myth over "Premier league quality" players. There's a hell of a lot of bang average players in the Premier League, what really counts is a good coach putting good organisation and motivation into the team. if we get that right and with our creative and attacking players we won't have a problem. I'm not convinced Fulham have enough options for scoring goals.
Likes to bang on about a 20 goal season forward as well, in reality they are few and far between. He doesn't seem to understand goals can be spread across a team, then he bangs out ... But thats in the Championship"
Had to switch off last night.
They were banging on about how out of form we were
A wolves fan called in and rightly said, we aren’t out of form on performances, but had a bad run of results - only deserving to lose our last two games . Doesn’t constitute a bad run of form
They failed to understand that
Then the fan said that if you look at created chances we are 6th in league making the point that we have been wasteful and should have more points - accepting this has been our downfall
The presenters were laughing at him, thinking he was suggesting we should be higher in table based on how many chances we created
The wolves fan laughed at them , and hung up.
Set of clowns on there
Was it that tit Goldstein who was hosting the show?
We did the same, they were patronising gits
I bumped into Ray Parlour and Alan Brazil, ironically on the 'tube' this morning on their way to All Bar One in Canary Wharf after the breakfast show and had a little chat with them, they were very complimentary about Wolves, really wanted Alan to ask me one of his long rambling question but sadly the pub opened its doors before he got chance
Separate names with a comma.
