If we keep up our current form, take one game at a time and, crucially, look up not down we can catch one of those muppets from London.

They're not exactly setting the league on fire are they?

C'mon Wolves play up, play up, play the game.

    #winning.

Newcastle, Bournemouth and Huddersfield coming up, the games we tend to lose.

If we take one game at a time we can finish 6th. Can't fault the logic there. :)

It's maddening. But the swines are just too far ahead. Reckon we'll finish within 5-6pts of both.

West Ham, Leicester and Everton could equally have been games we could lose. The new formation is working. I believe.

We’re doing great, actually fantastic but on the run in we’ll probably drop some points here and there but Arsenal and Chelsea not so much, even with the City score today. It’s not luck that has them above us.
Playing 26 games separates the men from the boys....luckily, Wolves are older adolescents and not boys.....lol

Anything from 10th up will be a great season for me, originally predicted 14th.

We've got to play them both. Drew one, beat one and now we're better.

Would be the icing on the cake when I pick up my £100 bet from my Arsenal mate if we finish above the Gunners.

As good as we are right now maybe that’s next years bet

So are they.....they’re in their stride. I have been watching the top six highlights over and over to see where and how their goals come. They are all slick......so fast and intuitive. They all creat more good quality chances.Chelsea against Leicester could have scored so many more.

Shame the seasons not starting now as you'd really fancy us. Sadly its not and they've probably just got too many points on the board.

Boads well for next season though!

This is now getting silly; we're 12 pts behind Chelsea and Arsenal. They have too many **** teams to play for us to get anywhere near them. We'd never have thought back in August we could get near 7th. Let's aim for that, rejoice and look to gate-crash the top 6 next season. That is doable imo.

    It's not entirely improbable.

Anything can happen. If Arsenal and Chelsea show poor form in the run-in and we don't it could easily be on.

Our next three league games are all winnable for sure....would certainly set us up.

Imagine if with the last game of the season has Liverpool going for the title and us breaking the top-6 riding on it. :)...

Let’s secure that 7th place. That would be an incredible achievement. Then let’s aim to break into top six next season. Just think the gaps a little too big to do it this season.

We would have to play phenomenally well for the rest of the season for it to happen but over the next 5 games it isn’t unrealistic that we could match them on points due to who ours Chelsea & arsenal have fixtures against

Wolves - Newcastle, Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Cardiff, Chelsea, Arsenal

Arsenal - Southampton, Bournemouth, Tottenham, Man Utd & Wolves

Chelsea - Man Utd, Tottenham, Fulham & Wolves

Not unrealistic that our games against each of them could make us equal on points with them both. But we’d then have to continue this form all season

In March, Arsenal play Spurs, Man U and us...the theoretical 9 point gap, after tomorrow, wiped out...

...nice to be able to hold that thought for at least 2 weeks, along with at least one, possible Wembley FA Cup visit..

@northnorfolkwolf, it's not silly, it's sports psychology. If (hypothetically) a team goes along thinking "Oh no, oh no Watford are on our coat tails", they are looking down. Much better IMO to look up and chase those in front.

OK, so we may not catch them but we certainly won't if we don't give it a go.

    Dare to lose to win.

Think we'd have to win ten of our remaining games to stand a chance, so to me it's asking too much unfortunately. If we maintain our form though over the next few games we could certainly give one of them a scare

One game at a time, if we are in with a shout when we get to play Arsenal again, it’s just another game.

I want that 50 points to eclipse the ****s best PL showing. The sooner the better. Then if 60 points is possible that would be incredible and would likely give us 7th given the table now but unlikely to get 6th.

I really think a little perspective is needed. Finishing seventh would be amazing, but it’s not certain in any way.

Just as we went on a bad run earlier in on the season and we were never as bad as some are making out, now we are in a rich vein of form and we’re never as good as some are making out.

We are doing really well. Let’s stay grounded and enjoy it. A top half finish is still going to be excellent and would exceed many expectations.

Seventh would be fantastic, but sixth would really needs freakish run of results.

I agree Axle, but sixth isn't impossible either, and while it's possible it's possible. As is 7th, 8th or whatever. I prefer to look up.

If we can finish the season with Arsenal and Chelsea looking nervously over their shoulders at us then we will have done bloody well, even if we don’t catch either of them.

The change to 3-5-2 and Dendoncker playing makes a huge difference. Honestly think if it had happened 4/6 weeks earlier we’d be in the mix for top 6.
