Am I right in thinking this is Geoff of Telford Wolves?

I think a LWB is more of a priority, Jonny can cover RWB when he's back fit. Don't think we need a CDM as Saiss and Dendoncker can both cover that role. I would agree we need another CB as who will play the Coady role if he's injured or suspended (Dendoncker possibly?). We definitely need another striker though, Bonatini needs to be moved on.

Understand where you're coming from re LWB but then you're loaded with 3 LWB's and if noth Jonny and Doherty are playing weekly they're both more likely to get injured. If both Jonny and Doherty are injured, you're a bit stuck. Re CDM, I look at the system we played on Wednesday and see 3 players in that role - Saiss, Neves and Dendoncker. I remove Saiss and Dendoncker from even potentially playing at CB in that scenario.

I also like Giroud, but 4 goals in 25 appearances for Chelsea would suggest his best years may be behind him. He is now 32.

Jonny is right footed so he should be playing RWB, only reason he's play LWB is because Vinagre isn't ready to start every game yet

It might also be something to do with the fact that Doc has generally played damn well.

Yes he should be a RWB being right-footed, but the reason he's playing LWB is purely based on Doherty being preferred choice on the right. He won't drop Doherty for Jonny but he wants Jonny in the side, so accommodates him by having him at LWB.

She's right footed though. Prefer a natural left footer on the left.

Apparently Victor Moses is available for £12mil, if that’s true I hope we are looking at him as him and Doherty would be great options for RWB

    Harry Wilson. Offer Liverpool £20m.

14 goals and 4 assists from 25 starts and 4 subs in the championship from a 21 year old winger.

I question Doherty a lot if we want top 6, but Moses is worse defensively, and struggles with end product possibly more then Doherty, just looks better driving with the ball.

Not 100% it's an overall improvement.

But we do need a RWB, maybe somebody younger a right sided Ruben Vinagre

I’d love either, but Embolo would probably cost £40m+ and Werner even more!

There’s also Bayern Munich. Any player who consistently impresses in the bundesliga usually ends up there.

    • PSG full-back Layvin Kurzawa could be heading to the Premier League. The left-back is reportedly a transfer target for Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea with the French club open to selling him in January. Boss Thomas Tuchel isn't convinced and sporting director Antero Henrique is believed to be shopping the former Monaco man around. (Le10Sport)

Personally think we need to get a more long term solution/ solutions in during January. Jimenez only on loan still as well. Need more permanent attacking, quality options. We need a wide forward like Felipe Anderson and a quality no9 to compete with Jimenez.

Gabigol signed for Italian club Inter and failed, went back to Brazil and has scored for fun. Should Wolves ask Inter if they can take him on a seasons loan?

He has a year left on his contract in the summer. Maybe loan until then with an option to buy?

Awesome player. Was once rated more highly than City's Gabriel Jesus.

Premier League will suit him more than Italy too and the language barrier won't be an issue!

He's can play anywhere across the front 3, but being left-footed could play on the right as an alternative to Costa if we wanted a bigger player like Raul down the middle.

    He's basically perfect for us.

I think he will go to Everton though.

@Bold: I think this is a big point we need to look at in jan, We need a left footed LWB and a left footed right inside forward to get balance back in our formation. With Costa off the boil our only other options are all right footed.

Agreed. And maybe one that can maybe play as a striker too. That's why Barbosa would be perfect. He'd probably be first choice on the right, but could play down the middle in other games.
