Fix cos of w ham injuries. And when it was played we hammered them 3-1
BBC has heavy snow all day tomorrow and up to midday on Saturday.....my forecast is that the game will called off because of safety issues in the surrounding areas
Look at the Beeb one
Just going off past experience the BBC have only been reliable for the London area.
Agreed, have been at other events where it has been completely wrong. It also changes by the hour so looking beyond today is almost hopeless with the BBC app.
I agree with you mate. My phone uses accuweather and I find it very reliable. Its not forecasting snow till sunday
seems generally OK for what weather will be today, have quite often found it poor about what weather will be in a couple of days time
blimey we have some pro-weather watchers here!
What I have often noticed, it that the BBC weather forecast starts off in Scotland which gets some detailed attention, then drifts down the East coast, rambles on about London and the South East, spends time on the South West, drifts up to Wales, and on to Northern Ireland, and forgets the 30 million population in the central belt of the country.
They rarely spend time on how the weather will be in the Midlands for example.
I have often thought of writing to the Beeb, asking them to concentrate more of their forecast on UK cities, as well as London, where most people actually live.
I am an expert when it comes to white powdery stuff.
Pretty reliable.I always put in our local area and they get it right most often
Not me .I just look on BBC Weather
It can be arranged. I'll put you down as a volunteer then eh?
Anyway just remember what they always say
Snow is just like Sex
-You never know how many inches you will get or how long it will last
Not many inches but like a Duracell bunny
Even the BBC has doubts and is ending its contract with the Met Office after 90+ years. The Met Office themselves confess that their long term forecasts have been wrong in 9 out of 10 predictions. In truth no provider can be correct all the time, their forecasts are largely based on what happened historically.
Weather forecasting must be the most error strewn profession around, yet without the threat of accountability. It must be great rolling into work every morning and saying "Right guys, what shall we tell them today?"
You never see the headline "Weather forecaster fired when monsoon ruined family barbecue after he predicted glorious sunshine"
I'm convinced they just make most of it up.
Well if they guessed the shipping forecast reports all the time I am sure there would be plenty out there condemning them .
Jez Moxey announced as new head of MET Office
My software which computes GFS data is saying there will likely be 1.6cm on the ground. Snowfall possible during the game, temperature during the game 2 degrees, wind 5 mph. Hope they sort the queues for the bar in the SB out, as they are going to be selling a lot of hot drinks and last week it was impossible to see the entire match and get served.
Well if the snow has anything to do with getting served in the upper North Bank i'll have to queue at the start of the game to get served before the start of the second half!!
I watched Nuno getting sent off on the screens by the bar in Steve Bull, watched the 2nd half kick off just before I was served. Not going to attempt it next time, will wear extra layers and forget spending my money.
BBC weather forecast nearly always predicts the weather will be worse than it actually turns out. I blame Michael Fish!
It is a good job the bloke in charge of it got it right for the D Day landings, 73 years ago-mind you, that was before climate change was invented of course!
The Daily Express (in my view the worst paper in the Country) has headlines about lots of snow and minus 10 type temperatures, when, in reality, it is mainly the north of Scotland that is only usually going to get that. It is just scaremongering and encouraging people to unnecessarily stock up with supplies etc!
They are funded to the tune of hundreds of millions. Just another scam. The Met Office are the biggest disgrace going.
Look out the window - there's your weather.
If there are heavy snow showers during the game, will supporters in the Steve Bull be given a partial refund due to the stand being in a different post code?
a few light snow showers or none at all will be cold though
I think it would have to go some to be worse than economic forecasting
Hopefully you're right, looking forward to Saturday and can insulate myself against the cold in the pub.
That’s so silly it’s funny. Bit like a manager saying “there’s the ball, just score more than the opposition!” Only Saunders and possibly Cotterill would come up with that!
GET A LIFE
I just look out the window
Malt malt malt
Think I'll be joining you, Blue Moon and double malt sounds a good insulation.
Well apparently this morning there was going to be traffic chaos because of storm Caroline! What a load of *******s that was! So I reckon a sprinkling of snow and pandemonium
Announce 20ft drifts!
God how original.....facile and asinine. Stand up and take a bow...... post of the month. BTW you have to press twice to release CAPS lock....
Is that from personal experience jonzy.
