Yeah, like @Guzeppi says - its tracking at point in season. The full graph below shows that City finished strong whereas Baggies tailed off.

I just did it up to GW30 as the graph is too small otherwise.

    GW 24 - 3 points
    PPG - 1.46 - Our 2nd highest PPG since GW10
    Extrapolated points total - 55
Expected final position - 7th/8th - we are still trailing the average PPG needed to finish 7th over last 10 years (of 1.55)
    upload_2019-1-30_9-25-48.png

It looks like a bottom 8 is starting to form so i have changed the analysis to reflect that.
This now shows our PPG is highest against our mini-league - @ 1.86.

    upload_2019-1-30_9-29-12.png

January is our third best month of the season!! **** in the winter!

    upload_2019-1-30_9-30-17.png

6 wins in our last 10!!!!
    upload_2019-1-30_9-29-34.png

@Boss Hogg i have changed the graph to show the full 38 weeks now so it is clear how West Brom and Man City finished the season

We are now ahead of the Baggies season at the GW24 point and ahead of Man City's 50 points

We almost have as many points as the villa and blues and they have played 5 games more. That shows how well we have done so far this season

    GW 26 - 1 points - 10 points from 12 - not too shabby
    PPG - 1.50 -
    Extrapolated points total - 57
Expected final position - 7th/8th - we are still trailing the average PPG needed to finish 7th over last 10 years (of 1.55) - as you can see from the below.

    upload_2019-2-12_9-17-54.png

PPG by month - with Bournemouth and Huddersfield left to play in Feb - should be a good month PPG wise

    upload_2019-2-12_9-18-34.png

Stats are now starting to prove that we do struggle somewhat against the bottom 8 teams, at just 1.4 PPG (compared to 2.0 PPG v the middle 5).

    upload_2019-2-12_9-18-59.png

Ahead of both Baggies best ever PL points total & Man City's first year of $$$

    upload_2019-2-12_9-20-23.png
Points by gameweek - still someway to go to equal our 6 game unbeaten streak (GW3 - GW8)

GW 27 - 1 points - Our joint highest Premier League total, and our best season since the early 1980's is confirmed - at the end of Feb!
Also on a nice 5 game unbeaten run!
    PPG - 1.48
    Extrapolated points total - 56
Expected final position - 7th/8th - we are still trailing the average PPG needed to finish 7th over last 10 years (of 1.55) - as you can see from the below.

    upload_2019-2-25_9-30-49.png

I appreciate that as @gewolf said on another thread, the 'Middle 6' seems to be merging into the bottom 8, but as of yet Leicester/Everton remain in the '6' so i'll keep my analysis the same! Our best PPG is still coming from the 'middle 6' teams

    upload_2019-2-25_9-31-52.png

A win v Huddersfield and February will be our 3rd best month of the season.
    upload_2019-2-25_9-32-12.png
Our current unbeaten run (5 games) is 2nd longest of season (6 games from GW3 to GW8)
    upload_2019-2-25_9-32-54.png

Tracking in line with City's 50 point season 10 years ago and ahead of Baggies best ever PL season.

    upload_2019-2-25_9-33-41.png

Already matched our best PL points haul - just the 11 games to go to beat it.....

I think i am right that over the last 12 games we have averaged 2 points a game. That is top 6 form. It takes time to settle into the league. Thats why cardiff have struggled and why in 2003 we went down - on both occasions the improvement in form came later than maybe it needed to. I am very encouraged by where we are now. If we do the same over the next 11 games we will end on 62 points which would be epic

Not quite, we have averaged 1.75PPG over our last 12 games but you are right in us settling into the league

We averaged 1.23PPG in our first 13 games, and have averaged 1.74PPG in our last 14 games.

GW 28 - 0 points - No comments needed. Other than there seems to be a bottom 5 forming, and my graph below on PPG by top 6, other 8 and bottom 5 makes for shocking reading. It really is the only blotch on a superb season so far.
    PPG - 1.43
    Extrapolated points total - 54
Expected final position - 8th/9th - we are trailing the average PPG needed to finish 7th over last 10 years (of 1.55) - as you can see from the below.

    upload_2019-2-27_11-13-9.png

Myth that we are better away from home doesn't hold true. And that bottom 5 PPG statistic makes me sick.
    upload_2019-2-27_11-13-25.png

February PPG was 1.25 - a PPG of a team that would c. 12th-15th in PL.

    upload_2019-2-27_11-13-44.png
Our second longest unbeaten run is over at 5.

Apologies to Shiffers but I'm gonna borrow his thread for the alternative table. Will try to be as analytical as him but can't promise anything lol!

    upload_2019-3-3_19-57-39.png

The top 6- defo a 2 team title race now, Spurs have dropped off massively and it now looks like it's going to be a tight call for who will finish 3rd-6th. Chelsea have a game in hand btw (vs Brighton).

    upload_2019-3-3_20-0-23.png

Mid-table- interesting! us and watford have a decent lead over most teams in the mid-table area, but West Ham have picked up some good form lately. Going to be close to see who will be 7th-12th.

    upload_2019-3-3_20-3-0.png

relegation- looks very much like it's bye bye to Huddersfield and Fulham, both look very cut away. The final spot is looking like Cardiff or Southampton, Burnley and Newcastle have picked up good wins lately and Brighton got a massive win yesterday. They're not safe but with how poor Cardiff and Southampton are you can't see those two really picking up enough points to make up the gap.

As we've beaten our best ever points total and know we're not going to get relegated is it possible to track the teams aiming for 7th
us Watford West ham maybe Leicester and Everton?

GW 29 - 3 points - 43 in total - best ever PL points total and best points total in top flight since 1979-80 when we got 47 points (2 points for a win but 22 teams in league)
    PPG - 1.48
    Extrapolated points total - 56.
Expected finish - 8th - we are trailing the average PPG needed to finish 7th over last 10 years (of 1.55) - as you can see from the below.

    upload_2019-3-4_10-39-58.png
The 40 point line has been removed as it's been surpassed!

Here is us v 10/11 us - i won't post this again as we have beat the total - with 9 games to go.
    upload_2019-3-4_10-40-25.png

Looks like a bottom 7 again at present (assuming Palace kick on) so updated to reflect that -

    upload_2019-3-4_10-42-13.png

    Good start to the month...

    upload_2019-3-4_10-42-33.png
    upload_2019-3-4_10-42-40.png

Tracking in line with baggies best ever finish - they only got 6 points in last 9 games in their best PL season so we are in a good place to beat this.

    upload_2019-3-4_10-43-34.png

@WarstonesWolf i'll have a think on how to do a chart tracking for 7th - leave it with me :)

@WarstonesWolf Here it is - the race for 7th - starting from GW20 (I have put Leicester in as we all know how much of a genius Brendan Rogers is......).
I have set the benchmark as the average for 7th place over the last 10 years - i wonder if any of us will hit it!

IIRC Excel plots the series in the order they appear in the graphs list of series.. so put Wolves last and it should overwrite the WBA series.
