Watch here on BT Sport. Paul Ince puts his neck out by saying Wolves could even finish 6th in the Premier League, after excellent Everton display. Chris Sutton mocks him by saying I bet the rest of the panel don't agree with that. Dean Saunders ex Wolves manager also on panel
Ince tips Wolves for top six finish to Sutton's dismay

We won't finish 6th, Ince is so dense light bends around him so i can't knock Sutton laughing at him

One of the top six would need to have a complete collapse of results while Wolves were consistently winning. Extremely unlikely.

Don't mind Chris Sutton, his humour tickles me. I remember him saying that stuff about the **** last year, really riled them.

Good on Incey and Chris Sutton is a ****. "I'd just love it, I'd ****ing love it" (to quote Keegan) if we did.

What a silly thing to say. We'll finish 5th easily.

Can't really be upset over that one, it is a little fantastical to think we can finish 6th. 7th is definitely achievable now, in fact it's starting to get to the point where I'd be slightly disappointed to finish 8th purely based on where we stand now, but 6th is a step too far (for this season at least).

But Incey said that it was possible (or words to that effect) which it is.

Ince also said that he believes that Bruce or Mark Hughes or himself could have done what OGS has done at Man Utd since taking over. Beyond deluded unfortunately.

If Nuno had started using Dendonker in a man central midfield in, say, November it might have been possible.
    Still love Nuno though.
Was perplexed earlier when my very good woman stated that arco Silva is a better looking Portuguese manager than Nuno.
"But besides his wonderful beard, what about his charisma?" I said.
That won't get you a ****, she said.
"It will get you a second one, though". I know I am right.
Nuno is for the long haul.

I’m pretty confident that 6th is a stretch too far for us now, but if one of those up there had a run like Everton are having, then maybe not. Doubt it though. If we finished 7th in our first season up, that would be outstanding.

It's was Jose's Ego that was dragging the squad down. What makes him think his Ego would have less of a detrimental effect? Not even going to comment on Mark Hughes

16/1 for us to finish top 6. I am really tempted.

With Moaninho it was just 'my way, and no other way'.....it was 110% an ego thing.

He was putting the brakes on what united expect to be about.

Real shame he couldn't claw out a few more results.....6th would be ours for the taking for sure. :)

Too right. Love Ince, can’t blame him for getting carried away at the moment.

We should shoot for sixth. If we fail and hit seventh happy days.

I'm no big fan of Ince as a pundit while Sutton is a complete WUM, he's always saying outrageous things just to get a bite. I'd not even considered us getting 6th and not that bothered this season but I would love it to happen now just so Ince can wave it in his condesending face

It was on the 'fantastical' side of impossible to think that Leicester would win the PL ... but they did. 6th for us? by no means impossible. Just keep on churning out the results and the rest will take care of itself

Saying "Wolves won't finish sixth" is hardly outrageous. I think we won't come sixth, we might but most likely won't. Does that make me a **** and whatever else Sutton has been called on this thread?

It’s very unlikely to happen but it only takes a handful of results to go our way and it could suddenly look possible so can’t rule it out especially as the top 6 don’t seem as guaranteed as other seasons to win against the rest of the league

Why are we going gung ho to get a European place? We have waaaaaay too small a squad and I personally think it would kill us as if has done to Burnley this year.

We are just caring to develop a winning habit....if it happens, it happens. Not like we are controlling our immediate destiny, is it?

The window in the summer will surely help us see things as we need to. :)

Plus a bit of respect needed here for a player who not only represented The Wolves but had successful seasons with Man U (much as I hate them) and England. France 1998, if Gazza was there, may have seen him and Ince part of a World Cup winning team. I really think they were as good a central midfield partnership as any on the international scene back then. For me, Wolves fans putting Ince down on here, need to take a hard look at themselves and devote more time and energy to slagging off ex-players of other teams who like to put Wolves down given half a chance! Ince - love him!

6th is on course for over 70 points, if we get 60 we've done brilliantly. 6th will unfortunately be out of reach - barring a catastrophic collapse combined with us producing title winning form for a third of a season...

How much of United's upturn in form is down to 'new manager bounce' and how much is down to OGS's management/coaching ability? Too early to judge in my opinion. In fact, was it a case of 'anyone but Mourinho'?

FWIW Ince's impact when he took the Macclesfield job was more impressive and sustained. Not that you can realistically compare Man U and Macclesfield.

Paul Ince: I am the man for the Wolves job
