According to Newsnow Fulham are hoping to sign him this week for £15M
‘Fulham boss Claudio Ranieri is ready to pay £15m for Liverpool striker Divock Origi. Ranieri has been given money to strengthen his struggling side and hopes to agree a fee for Anfield fringe man Origi, 23, this week.’
Another bullet dodged.
15m is a fair price
Solanke and Origi, barely kicked a ball for Liverpool all season, £34m for them both. Crazy.
If he didn't want to come to us will he want to go to Fulham?
I guess Fulham want to replace kamara
That’s why we will get an inflated price for Hause. The PL lifts everything including wages.
Yes but look at who they have to better to get in that team.
Lure of posh London would be major pull
Why is it a bullet dodged? He's a decent player and £15m is peanuts in today's market.
Origi would be a brilliant buy, particularly at that price. I'd have him over Abraham.
Remind what he’s done again?
Really? He can’t hit a barndoor.
Apparently we tried to aign him in the summer but he rejected us, and that we were going to try again in January.
Origi would fit our system well as he's good at link up play. He's similar to Jiminez in that respect and so we might have changed approach to go for Abraham as he's more of an out and out goalscorer. A bit like we did with Bonatini and Afobe last year (except both are upgrades this year).
Yes...really. Actually I am not interested in how many barn doors he hits.
Think he would be a good signing for us at that price.
For £15m would snap him up and expect Nuno to get him back up and firing. Abraham, if he does sign, is just a loanee who could easily return to Chelsea in five months with no guarantee at all we could get him in permanently should he do well for us.
However if we are really going for it let's raid Eintracht Frankfurt for Haller and Jovic in one swoop (probably in the summer) and stop mucking about. Probably cost around £50/60m together but worth it methinks.
Not sure this is completely dead in the water for us. If, and it’s a big if, Abraham decides Villa is the best option for him rather than us, making his decision tomorrow (Monday) then Nuno might re-visit this.
That makes very good sense Goldeneye. Though I have my doubts that Haller & Jovic could be bought for that.
If we can sell Cav for £15-20m I'd pay the same for Origi personally
Jovic has a £5m buyout clause or something like that
Is that right? What a bargain at that price. What are we waiting for?
Hes on loan at frankfurt and they have the option to buy.
Fix: Eintracht leiht Jovic von Benfica aus
We could do a lot worse than this lad at £15m.
Thought he was Liverpool's best player
Didn't rate him.
Decent finish, otherwise a donkey
IMO we need an attacking midfielder more than an Origi
I think I agree. All our central midfielders are too similar and so slow, with the exception of Gibbs White.
I’d take him (not literally)
thank u, next
Origi is pony. Jovic also not a Frankfurt player.
Not for me. I’d rather we spent the same money on a great prospect like that Trincao fella then spend it on him
Didn’t impress me tonight apart from his one contribution that went through the defenders legs. Also thought his attitude was very poor in that first half in particular, and apparently thinks he’s too good for Wolves already. Can’t see him putting in the effort for us
We can do better with £15M
Origi doesn’t work hard enough for our system imo
Jovic is on a 2 year loan with an option to buy. If we wanted to buy him, it would be from Frankfurt.
****, scored fair enough but did **** all again just like 2 years ago & as I said on the previous thread living off nothing but reputation. Back in Belgium in 2 seasons.
I thought he offered very little and troubled our defence less than practically any other forward they have faced this year. Don’t get the hype. It’s based on **** all.
He had a lengthy chat with Dendoncker after the game, I know they'll know each other from international duty, wonder if he was asking him about life at Wolves though
