Where is the prematch thread? - anybody from the mix out - we"re in bohs
Newcastle are only out of the bottom three on goal difference, and only by four goals at that. Benitez would bite your hand off for a point, and if it's 1-0, he's unlikely to risk it becoming more by chasing the game. I foresee few chances, with us bossing possession as Newcastle just sit in, going for either a Neves rocket or Dendoncker breaking into the box to break the deadlock and we end up seeing out a nervy (at the end) 1-0
If we hit form and Jota is up top with Jimenez it should be a regulation 2 clear goals to us.
Think this is more significant than the previous three in that while hopeful, we wouldn't have expected to win any of them. Tonight, though, expectation is high, which has been when we've struggled so far this season. I hope they can maintain composure, especially Jota, they'll need it to get a result as I reckon all this "minimum 3 and 4 goals a match" malarky has to stop and there will be few chances. This is the one to see whether we genuinely have turned a corner, or are not, like most in the middle of the table, inconsistently capable of brilliance one week and direness on another.
FA Cup in 1951 and 1952 also. Len Shackleton, the Robledo brothers were outstanding players in their day. You may have read Len Shackleton's book, the name escapes me but one chapter was headed "The average football directors knowledge of the game" or something very similar and the page was then left blank!
For me Newcastle are one of the greats, proper fans, great city, full of pride. They hate their owner, we should know what that is like. Rafa doesn't help them with his miserable tactics. I hope they come through this period in their history and join us versus the plastics. I really don't get why you wouldn't want Newcastle Utd to be part of our future challenges. Score tonight hard to call, 1-1
I don’t like geordies.
