Sorry if it's been covered elsewhere but does anyone know who cleared the ball off the line at the end of the match. Player comms were unclear and it just sounded manic. From those who were there, was it good, determined defending or last gasp desperation?
From my point of view we need to stop ending matches just trying to cling on.

I've read 3 reports and one said it was Doc, one said Danny & the other Stears, so take your pick :)

Stears claimed it in his interview, so it was him. Although it looked over the line to me, i guess it doesnt matter now, interesting how that moment seems to have been erased by the highlights that were uploaded :D

Disappointed it's not on the highlights of the match but it wasn't a goal and I suppose highlights are limited in time?

If you have Wolves Player they usually upload extended highlights tomorrow, so it might be in them.

Ha! Just watched the interview. Stears seems as confused as anyone about what happened. :)

From the South Bank I was sure I'd seen the net bulge on the Steve Bull side, and I wasn't the only one! (May have been a player though). At first thought it was 3-3, then I think Stears gave a fist pump and I thought we'd won, wasn't sure for a good 30 seconds!

There is a picture in the bristol post of steaman clearing the ball from the line. Doherty is leaning against the net. In my opinion the ball has not completely crossed the line so no Goal but its close.

Ball looked well over from the Steve Bull. Would have been a totally undeserved equaliser.

Personally I thought a draw would have been a fair result. That is not to say we didn't play well, but they controlled midfield for quite long spells.

I was in line in Steve Bull upper. For a horrible couple of seconds it looked like the ball was going to spin over the line until the last ditch clearance. Reckon it was half over the line, but would love to see it again

I was in south bank and saw the net bulge and looked away in disgust. Must have been a player rolling in the net

Yes. Must have been Doc first and then Stearman so they are both last gasp heroes. Also "well done" to all the spectators in old gold shirts cheering them on against five red shirts.. "the old gold ball watching army" not caring about defending in extra time. We have seen that before but today they/we got away with it.

    Sorry, people, you're all wrong.

It was my sharp intake of breath that sucked the ball back

(Ok, Stears might have helped clear it)

Clearly over the line but not as clear as to how much of the ball isn't over the line. Looks 90% a goal from here - which legally speaking is 0% a goal.

Either way the officials guessed, which is why Bristol's manager is calling for technology.

Agreed - from directly behind the goal, it looked in, but we couldn't be sure. Technology is required.
By the way - it looks like it's just about to be shown on the box. Let's see shall we.

I have to say I thought it was over from the Billy Wright but I am something of a pessimist where Wolves are concerned.

I thought the referee bottled the decision by blowing for full time straight afterwards. I thought he was a poor referee which is odd since he gave us a penalty and didn't award the goal at the end.

Having seen it - still inconclusive, but I think the ref might've guessed right!!

Just watched the highlights on Channel 5. The whole of the ball has to cross the whole of the line - and in my opinion, although it was close, it did not.
Fully deserved the win today in my opinion - really enjoyed the game.
Even IF it was a 'goal' these things even themselves out over the season. How many decisions have gone against us this season which would have almost certainly resulted in a goal? A few if my memory serves me correct.

    Disagree.
I thought we played well and deserved the victory. Bristol were no pushovers and I liked their number 9 but I think we had more class in our side today and played the better football.
I'm convinced when one goes in for Dicko then the floodgates will open for him.

No way the whole ball is over the line from that clip, it's clearly on the line but no chance is it over. Good call by the lino.

Didn't look close to even being 10% of the ball over the line. Easy decision: no goal.

The photo I have seen shows a fair bit of the ball over the line but not 100%

Funny enough I was talking to my dad about how poor the ref had been and I mentioned he'd been lucky that he hadn't had a big decision to make, then lo and behold, handball. Not sure he'd have given it without their defender's reaction though

Looks like well done Stears and good call by the linesman. Think we are owed a bit of refereeing fortune anyway! A late happy Christmas to all mol mixers and let's hope for a more stable new year ( not forgetting QPR)!

From right behind the goal where I sit my initial instinct was that it was in,I'm not sure who made the 2 clearances as it all happened so quickly, but I'm glad something went our way for a change.

Our aerial defending was dreadful today, they were winning almost everything in the box.
