Didn’t a lot of folk want him as our manager not too long ago?
Find it Strange 7th in league, 4 points of play offs, i cant see the board have forced him out, maybe taking a stand over transfer strategy or something.
He always looks like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders. Maybe he just needs a break.
He's clearly an astute football manager but his stints at Forest and Boro would suggest trouble behind the scenes seems to follow him around.
If his name was Aaron Kelly he'd be viewed in the same mould as Megson and Pulis, very attack shy overtly defensive managers. Not just by Wolves fans but in general.
Proof though that copying Wolves isn't some off the shelf formula of a Portuguese coach and hoover up a few youngsters. Insulting to Nuno they thought it was that easy.
Didn't he do the same at Middlesborough around 2016? Walked out the day before a game, wasn't at the weekend fixture but then was re-instated the following week?
Think that was during or just before a transfer window too...
Looking through twitter it doesn't seem like many Forest fans wanted him gone
I don't know how they sit financially but I know they did invest quite heavily in the summer. Maybe they've rolled the dice and expect to be challenging for promotion
Perhaps. Perhaps there's a vacancy somewhere else.
Probably been reading the mix & made himself depressed
I'd imagine this is somewhere near the truth, the timing certainly fits. I assume he doesn't have ultimate say on recruitment. I notice they just sold Ben Brereton who was their rising star. To Blackburn!!!
Seems to throw his toys out of the pram thinking oh well if i leave i'm worthy of a better job. Look at me look at me i'm recommended by Mourinho.
Needs to get over himself
He was close to being sacked before Christmas apparently, despite their healthy position, so maybe walked before being pushed. Ambitious and impatient owners. Not sure what that means financially for him, as that would usually mean he’d forego a final payment, but maybe his contract is different.
Watched their televised recent home win vs Leeds and thought the Sky coverage was quite distasteful - with each goal flowing in there was constant reverting to focussing on the Forest chairman's reaction and ensuing dialogue about the impact it would have on the likelihood of Karanka being sacked or being able to keep his job.
Yes of course very relevant to the game taking place at the time, but they really made a continued theme of speculating on it throughout the game.
I'm led to believe the owners are very demanding.More so than anyone else.If yam unhappy in the workplace ya might as well leave.
According to forest fans at work he's fell out with the board. No one seems to be sure exactly why though.
Suggested reasons were size of and/or control over transfer budget, the board feel they should be top two, or a falling out on a personal level.
Either way most forest fans I know would just like to keep the same manager for a whole season for once
Got form for it though - seem to remember him threatening to leave Boro whilst they were sat top of the league the year they were promoted.
Toys & pram spring to mind
I don't care.
Good for you fella
This is what my Forest mates are saying too
15 Managers in 10 years, tells me the problem is not all those managers..
Quite a contrast to the Cloughie era isn't it?
Or was the Cloughie era a contrast to everything else?
Admittedly rare but more common in days of yore than now. Fergie and Wenger are probably the last of their kind. Unless Nuno sticks with his project!
This is interesting as l wonder if Nuno would leave if he felt like the club couldn’t attract the right players.
I know we have only been talking about Abraham and Talisca in the past but allegedly there are a few more that we have missed out on and if this would have a bearing on the ‘project’?
But haven't those who've declined us gone to clubs in Euro competitions?
Should we qualify then signing those who follow the money and the glory will be easier.
Fragile and thin-skinned.
...Are two players that he was after but was told he couldn't have.
Separate names with a comma.
