I can imagine, luckily for me it wasn't anything too serious besides the blood, bruising and teeth loss. Always a war zone, whether you wanted to war or not. Hope you are OK.

I always had trouble in those neck of the woods, red or blue. When on the coach in the 70s don't think we ever returned with all the windows intact.

If we play them we HAVE to beat them! I live near them now and they are still ****ing arrogant ****s!

Hopefully you're right, looking at the fixtures you'd say Chelsea v Brentford is a cert for TV which would probably be either the Friday (in which case I'm sure Liverpool wouldn't be happy about a Sunday game) or the early Saturday KO.

It's quite a good draw though tbh so we might not even make TV with a bit of luck.

Chelsea v Brentford, Utd (as they always are on) v Wigan, Wimbledon/Sutton v Leeds, Spurs v Wycombe and potentially Man City v Bolton, Lincoln v Brighton & Oxford v Newcastle

I immediately assumed Derby vs Leicester would be on, too.

If the early game is on the Beeb they might fancy a lower team due to being fair with BT maybe picking up Liverpool v Wolves for the later one. BT need advertising/audiences & BBC do not, if that makes sense to anyone.

Also there's no way we'd sell 9k to season ticket holders & members, it will like Stoke hit general sale.

Don't understand...I'm fairly certain most of the 9,000 will usually contribute to the 20,000 that turn up to Molineux? Of course you will get some looking to enjoyba special day out at Anfield, but what's wrong with that? They're still Wolves fans!!

I'm hoping the same. I collect all these extra points by going to as many games as I can, but then seem to get zero benefit when applying for the hard to get matches! Fully agree it should go STH & ASTH first but then work it down from there in terms of sales.

My opinion anyway, I'm sure plenty of members on here with no additional points may beg to differ! :D

The short time frame for ticket sales isn't going to help either

Yes , the train was late arriving and the police jogged us up the hill, over home park. A match was going on and our lot joined in ! when we got to the turnstiles there was a queue and some lads broke the gates , we rushed in then out, chased by police dogs. As you recall, we invaded the pitch at the end of the game, sang in front of their old main stand then eventually exited via their home terrace, on to home park. Some nutter tried to ram Wolves fans with his car and was duly arrested. As we got onto the park, the Plymouth fans were lined up waiting for us. It was like a war film, with a shout the Wolves charged them and chased them off the hill down towards the station. We were dying for a pint (10-30 closing then) and approaching Wolverhampton via HEATH TOWN, someone pulled the com cord and stopped the train, we all jumped off but had to climb back on again helped by police dogs ! happy days.

It wasn't many but I'm sure Stoke went to general sale. There is no way Wolves could sell 9k to ST holders & members alone, they'd have to be some serious lending of supporters numbers for that to happen because the uptake just isn't there from the 12k ST holders.

If Liverpool, it's a great tie for me...

    High profile scalp to take.

    Direct train from Stalybridge.

9,000 fans out-singing the famous kop, "Once upon a time there was a tavern"

Add into that the hatred between Mancunians and Scousers which dates back to the industrial revolution and the Manchester Ship Canal...

    I cant ****IN wait.

I assume the TV games are picked a couple of days after the draw is made. There is lots of logistics involved to the tv companies setting up coverage not to mention advertising etc. and the 3rd round replay isn't until the 18th.
Given that there is a fair possibility that Plymouth could win this tie (a fact that many dont seem to understand) would BBC or BT risk having to show Plymouth v Wolves at prime time in their showcase FA cup slot?
3 o'clock Saturday ko for me regardless of our opponents.

The more I look at it and the games Liverpool have in January the more certain I am in wanting Liverpool to win the replay.. because its an easier game for us. Cant see Liverpool field a better team in the replay - it might be weaker. And if they win they will field an even weaker team against us. We should beat a Liverpool team of 11 teenagers.

We have every incentive to keep this going as well. The extra gate revenue and admittedly small amounts of prize money for progressing will help in terms of FFP for a promotion push next season. We have nothing left to play for this season in reality, so we have nothing to lose.

Saver return is normally £35 to Lime St, unless you do advance. For those coming through the Wirral my sister advises me the train loop is off...

Indeed. I think the actual ticket allocation will be around 8,100, with Plymouth mentioning Liverpool kindly offered them a few hundred tickets more than the 15% they are obliged to.

Either way, I can see at least 3,000 hitting general sale if we take the full allocation. Suspect Wolves will ask for an initial allocation of around 5,500 and see how it goes from there, with the option to extend.

On most websites, news feeds and even Good Morning Britain today (sigh, I know) everyone seems to list the 'standout ties' rather than reading out the whole draw and not one of them has included Plymouth/Liverpool vs Wolves. I think we will get the 3pm Saturday we are all craving. TV games will be decided by the end of the week BT aren't going to choose this in case they end up with Plymouth vs Wolves.

One of the rare occasions since i gave up my ST that I wish I still had one. Twice to Molineux this year so not sure I'll get a sniff at general sale. Daughter at Liverpool Uni and has registered as L postcode general sale eligible so maybe I'll end up watching from the Kop.

Personally I really hope Plymouth beat LFC as I despise the club but at the same time the thought of 9k Wolves supporters outsinging the reds is very appealing. Gain a win and I'll be singing all the way home as well.
Plymouth is just under 300 miles from where I live and Liverpool 235 so not a massive difference as it will be a long day whatever travel wise but Liverpool is easier to reach and saving an hours journey each way is a bonus as well.
Either draw it will be a tough game. Should Plymouth win they'll be on a high after beating LFC and really up for the game whereas LFC at Anfield is always going to be hard, although if they could play as poorly as they did the other day please.:)
However there are some positives to be taken from playing LFC. Should the game be at LFC, which I feel is still the more likely, then I'll be going and in good heart.
Before now and the FA Cup 4th round game Wolves play twice, home to Villa and away to Norwich and then a weeks break. In the same time period LFC have 5 games before then facing Chelsea. The first 3 of those 5 games are all away involving a whole shed load of travelling. Their last game before the 4th round, should they go through, is home to Southampton in the EFL semi final 2nd leg. Extra time please.:) With players missing though the ANC and that Klopp may want to rest players before the Chelsea game then some real plusses to take.

Im pretty sure the Plymouth guy on the draw last night said Liverpool had given them extra, over and above the allocation they were entitled to.

Some LFC fans on twitter already think they are in the 5th round with comments like...

Wolves in the 4th round. Ok 5th round here we come #Sweetasfuck

I hope that Klopp makes the same underestimation. Not that I expect to win, but it is pretty arrogant when they are not even in the 4th round yet, fully expected to beat Plymouth or not.

    Meh big Premier clubs. Lol.

He did. I think the allocation they're obliged to give is just over 8,000, but they gave Plymouth 8,600 as they asked for it and had the spare seats. We are entitled to about 8,100 I believe.

They'd give it us too, surely all he meant by that is that they didn't stop dead at 15% of the seats of course they wouldn't if that leaves a couple of hundred left in a stand you couldn't give to home fans anyway because the rest HAD to be given to away fans then why wouldn't they do that. We'll get the same as Plymouth if we want it.

With Wolverhampton to Liverpool being a London Midland route there's plenty of ways to do it cheaper. Name you train there and back with advance tickets you could do it as little at £9.50 each way. Or if there's 3 or 4 of you they do a group save roughly works out just over £20 each any London Midland off peak trains.
