But for the referee and a moment of individual brilliance, we’d be celebrating another famous away day.

Not much to aim at for Hazard but should he have had the chance?

It’s a clear foul on Dendoncker as he heads the ball out for the corner that afforded Hazard a sighter.

Even so, hats off to the Chelsea man for manufacturing the angle and taking advantage in a way so few players are capable.

Could Wolves have switched on quicker? Could Neves have taken him out? Could Patricio have got a hand to it? It’s harsh to point fingers but at this level, it’s those margins.

It’s silly to say they didn’t deserve a point having had 22 shots on goal to the visitor’s 2 (and one of those was a Traore dribbler), but it’s not unfair to say they were lucky to get it.

Nuno came with a plan and his team executed it – almost – to perfection.

The shape, the discipline and finally, when the moment presented itself, the textbook counter-attack to cut Chelsea wide open.

Maybe it was fortuitous how the ball ultimately found it’s way into the net, but it’s a beautifully crafted goal, another fine assist for Jota and another goal for our number 9.

For all their possession and pot shots, they never got through in the same way, hence why it took a Hazard rasper to save the day.

Wolves were sublime without the ball and nobody more so than the three central midfielders who shield everything and can all use the ball economically when backs are to the wall.

If there’s a disappointment it’s that they didn’t offer more in attack, particularly after going a goal up and the cracks began to appear in the Chelsea midfield.

Much like the draw against Arsenal, the lads were guilty of wasteful possession while defending a lead, when a few cuter passes could have made the difference and put them on the back foot.

Tough to criticise too much though given the consistency of this team’s performances and the satisfying manner they routinely ruffle feathers.

They should really fancy their chances again next week and based on today and everything else we’ve seen this season – I know I certainly do.

    Bring it on.
