We are 7th in the Premier League. We are taking on teams as equals, please drop the histrionics.
But we ay a big club.................just yet -
Nick, joining us tomorrow?
If we ever turn into any of the ‘big’ clubs I’ve been to this season then then I’ll gladly walk on my hands up the Northbank Stairs with sparklers flaming out my **** if it helps.
I do agree a lot of ‘newer’ fans seem too hyped up for my liking.
We am, always have bin, always will be
Of course they do.
Liverpool is a big club, no atmosphere.
United are a big club, no atmosphere.
City are a big club, no atmosphere.
Fireworks, fire, music, lights - I want it all.
Too ****ing right!!
are you drinking in a real pub tomorrow ? ie not Bohs ! we are starting in the Wheatsheaf at 2-30 !
Please explain.....what exactly are you objecting to
I like the flames. You get a nice burst of warmth on a cold night.
Hopefully meeting Bright at 3ish in Bohs, not a fan of the Wheatsheaf too many ****heads!!
Meet you halfway in the tap at 4pm !
It being contrived?
Never mind the age BS, will the vast middle sections of the Steve Bull care to lose their voices and support the flanks tomorrow??
It's normally there when moaning and groaning....or when a goal is scored.
And whats wrong with a few pyrotechnics, light show , flags etc, if it pumps up the atmosphere....If you don't like it take your seat at 1 minute to kick off and have quiet pint in the concourse or better still stay away...
Good job some on here don't have to attend Bundesliga games every week........fantastic atmosphere at almost every game
J9 BOYS WE ARE HERE !
It's all about enthusing the fans, particularly the next generation of supporters.....absolutely nothing is damaged with it.
Being different can be considered a propellent with where we are and aim to eventually be.
We clearly belong here on the pitch.
Unbelievable thread. I'm convinced some people genuinely miss the days of Moxey and Morgan.
I tend to agree with this. I remember when we beat Utd (Kenny Miller) and we produced 1-0 t shirts which I thought then was a bit sad tbh. I know we were the underdogs and we are tomorrow but we should be going into this as equals. I think we are esp as we are at home. We need to go into this game and the rest of the season and next season not as the newly promoted team but the team that is taking the Prem apart.
So we know where you sit......just look for the gap in the mosaic of flags tomorrow
****ing hell we were two minutes away from a double over Chelsea five days ago but we can’t fathom not having something to bitch about so let’s have a go at anyone with the audacity to even think about marking a big occasion!
Success is apparently worse than failure, so let’s make sure we don’t enjoy it.
Sorry I just dont get this attitude to the club trying to create a better match day experience........Liverpool have pre match You'll never walk alone with flags distributed around the Kop and then collected pre match, and you wouldn't call them inferior......Players feed off atmosphere and fans feed off players who respond .....Sure you a just as much a fan as anyone , but cant really see what the issues is with the club wanting to pump up the volume.....Watching the Champions League games this week even though away the German fans at City & Rennes Fans at Arsenal created a great atmosphere with their flags / flares etc........Home fans in both games were embarrassing
Let's ****ing have it!
I want stardust and glitter, hard base and thrash metal voiceboxes by 90minutes. I want pints and pints and pints and more pints, pints for men, pints for the women and pints spilling on bar floors when we **** all over those ****ing glory hole hunting red devils. I want flag waving, flag sweeping, banner holding and scarf flapping. I want songs and banter, joy and jubilation.
I want the pack, the wolvesayewe's to tear United limb from limb. I want it all, whatever gets all 20 odd thousand home fans snarling and snapping for a win.
I can't wait.
Just wait until you see the display tomorrow,ok the wind has played havoc and some stands are not done, but considering the wagon day turn up until 6pm today,I think all the volunteers have done a fantastic job.And to top it off Nuno and Conner came and thanked us all.Bloody Bostin.
Spot on mate. We have always been the biggest and best club in the world.
Don't forget the dancing girls!
Whatever your drinking, I want some....lol
On reflection, I actually like the fireworks and flames. Just not the flags etc - though fair play to those who have spent time setting this up!
I guess I just think we need to believe we have arrived, and I'm not sure having this type of thing always helps with that mindset? Who knows.
The half and half scarf sellers were out yesterday
I don't think this is remotely a small club mentality.
The reason we're so excited is because we're in a cup quarter against man utd, and everyone is eithere either quietly or noisily confident.
I didn't think you could drink white powdery substances.....
Sadly not mate, hopefully for the League game.
Give us a shout for us!!
Jesus American football must be so small, for the amount of money being shelled out, some of us don't mind a little bit of pre-match entertainment. Guess we should only watch football in black and white, with our flat caps on.
Bah ****ing humbug
I'm sorry, can't people be excited at the prospect of making a semi-final, something we haven't done or even remotely looked like doing for decades?
Agree with your comments, but not with the underlying premise for the OP.
I’ve recently turned 50, and have supported Wolves before I knew what football is, thanks to my father, and he thanks to his grandfather. I remember the League Cup Final against Forest (I was too young to remember the City final), I loved the day out at the old Wembley for the Sherpa Van, I watched the Play Off Final on tv sat in the shade in Houston, and after moving back from the States, I’ve made it to every one of the promotion and title winning games since, and I’ve shouted and swore at every one of end relegations. I’m not approaching this game as underdogs, and I don’t feel overawed by our opponents, but I’m excited and nervous in equal measure, because if we get past Utd tonight, I genuinely believe we can win the FA Cup for the first time in my lifetime.
For those of us who can’t make it to Molineux, we are prime time on BBC 1 on a Saturday evening. We are getting ads on BBC which start with Wolves and mention Utd at the end. We are routinely getting praise on TV and in the papers, and we’re not even last on MOTD most weeks! We are going to put on a show at Molineux tonight which will introduce thousands, if not millions, to who we are now, and perhaps remind them who we used to be. This is massive for the club, and it’s massive for me, my son, and my father. UTW!
I saw somebody selling half and half scarves for today's match 2 weeks ago before the Cardiff match!
Crazy to sell them at all
Don’t forget we’re owned by a global business, who wanna market our club round the world. Today is a big big chance for them to show what it’s all about.
