I am interested to see the response from fellow fans as to what manager is the best that you have seen at our club. Cullis was amazing but I never grew up in that era so for me it is Nuno.

Easy in my time (I’m 47 but don’t really remember the 70s) Nuno, followed by Graham Turner.

Turner was manager when i first started going, he saved us from oblivion and signed Bully

Taylor was not given time but helped us on the way with the academy

Jones got us where many others have failed

McCarthy got us up and managed what no one else has to date, consecutive seasons in the top flight

Jackett saved us from potential oblivion

    Nuno, well Nuno is God

Barnwell will always be a massive favourite for me, as he delivered a major Cup win, and European football (well, 2 games) in my lifetime. Turner gave us winning football and Bully- great man. Dave Jones for finally getting us up, and one of the happiest days of my life. Nuno, of course, has taken us to another level- and whatever happens, will be a Wolves legend for many a year.

No comparison at the moment in the all time debate, Cullis, dont even have to be alive in that time to see that.
In my life time nuno, if theres one I hope equals or be compared to cullis I hope its the Portuguese god.

Before St Nuno arrived at Wolves It was a toss up between Bill McGarry and Ronnie Allen, Stan Cullis had just been sacked the season i began supporting Wolves, so for me it has to be St Nuno if we carry on as we are..

Graham Taylor dropped Bully from England then tried to sell him when he was wolves manager. He also covered up sexual abuse when he was at Aston Villa. Not sure which of those 3 is worst?

Being in my seventies got to be Stan Cullis. He was a national icon as well.

I started in the Bill McGarry era who is very difficult to compare with Nuno; but Nuno is probably the most popular manager in my lifetime with the possible exception of Graham Turner.
Nuno could well go on to be one of the all time greats.

The first two l might accept. Where is your evidence for the third accusation? Abusing the dead without absolutely rock solid proof is disgusting.

Mirrors me.... We had some duffers too but Clownders was absolutely the worst in my lifetime (based on the squad/resources available to him).

In my Wolves supporting days: Graham Turner saved us from the scrapheap in the 1980s and gave us Bully. Mick McCarthy (Happy 60th Sir) inherited an awful situation from Hoddle and turned us around, giving us 3 years in the PL in a pre-Fosun era. I rank these 2 in my top 3.

Then along came Nuno. Relatively early days but he has delivered the Championship title, football like we have not seen before and a level of management we have not seen before. He is special and the head of all things great about Wolves now and I have not known a manager so universally liked at Wolves either - Mick, Turner and Jones always had a section of support not behind them but not Nuno.

Exciting times for our club that we are privileged to be witnessing.

For me right now it's hard to see beyond Bill McGarry, but Sammy Chung was instrumental with him
I would love to be able to say Nuno in a few years time

Do you have the proof to back up the 3rd accusation

I cant recall any firm evidence was found to suggest he had any awareness of any situation that was alleged to have happened.

Just looked at our list of managers. I started going in 93 so Turner was manager then.

I was amazed to see how long Colin Lee was in charge...nearly 2 years, is that right??? I'd have said about 6-8 months!

    Since '93

    2. Mick McCarthy

    Nuno had a dream,
    to build a football team,
with Chinese owners and a wonderkid from Porto,
    with five at the back,
    and pace in attack,
we're Wolverhampton and we're on our way back........

Nuno, KJ, Mick and Jones in my lifetime, given what they all achieved. Given time, could Nuno surpass Stan Cullis as the best manager we've ever had?

Nuno with our dream team / squad now :)

Just missed out on seeing our greatest manager Stan Cullis.. As Ian Hollaway said recently maybe ..
"Nuno should have a statue put up to him too in the future"?

Such is my Wolves standard anxiety level (up until recently), that I’ve even started to worry about life after Nuno. Don’t bear thinking about.

When he was first appointed, my initial reaction (after Zenga), was ‘oh grief ... here we go again’.

I then did what most of us probably did and used the wonderful webnet to research him. Interesting ... obviously a higher calibre manager than his predecessor.

Then there were two events that made really made me sit up and take notice ...
    1. His first interview. Wow ... this got me interested.
    2. Watching one of the first pre-season friendlies on some dodgy stream (Austria?) and being immediately impressed by the formation and tactics. This got me excited.

But, what I really like about Nuno is something that i can’t say about many (if any) of the managers ive known in my supporting lifetime (first game ‘72 as a kid ... regular post ‘87) ....

    ... HE’S A WINNER.

The number of times that we have come out on top in games is just incredible. It takes some getting used to. This is really important. Yes ... it’s great to ‘take part and play fair’ but boy, life as a fan ain’t half better when you’re winning. Not the be all and end all ... but by heck it’s great. The atmosphere on match days is the dogs doodahs.

One last thing... the quality of Nuno’s team and the way that we play football under him is totally breathless. And let’s not forget, that despite the wonderful support of Fosun, an awful lot of his early signings were young and without a proven track record at this level. He’s also been able to completely transform some of the players that he inherited. Who on here actually spotted sweeper Coady?

So for me, this ain’t even close. It’s Nuno. The one and only.

Okay lets work this one out.................Dean Saunders or Glenn Hoddle?
Closely followed by Cullis for what he achieved.
The McGarry period was the one I was most familiar with ...Dougan, Bailey and the gang.
    Turner for obvious reasons.
And I hope in a few years time I can top that with Nuno.----------but it will be hard for him to bypass Deano.:p

    Me too OW.

Having said that, Nuno is fast becoming a strong contender, even though you have to take into account, that the world of football is now in a completely different footballing scenario.

I certainly think that in the due course of time, Nuno WILL surpass ANY of the past managers, who have been at the helm of our GREAT CLUB.

He is also such a likable guy, as well as being a management/coaching GENIUS!!
