@Rufio & @Burton Wolf
You weren't jealous when they finished 10th, 8th, 17th, 13th, 14th and 10th in the 7 years i quoted, being in danger of relegation just once in 7 years in the prem? OK then...
I admit they weren't fantastic, or overly ambitious, but they were still streets ahead of us. Until 18 months ago, i never thought we would be an established mid-table PL team again, and it's only due to falling lucky with our owners that we are.
Haha - love it - nothing wrong with admitting your emotions chaps!
But i didnt even follow their results/position. If we were not in the prem i wouldnt watch bang average sides/matches.
So how could i have been jealous of something i didnt know was happening- i'm not obsessed you know.
As I said before, jealous of the ****? Nope
Never jealous, just hated them. Would never want to be a **** fan.
**** sake. Thanks for the lesson now **** off.
What sort of person goes on a rivals forum anyway? A **** stirrer or a ****er or a sad **** or all three? Spot the spelling mistake, go on take all the words in you sad *******
I love it when everyone says we were “languishing” in League One. We never languished there, we got relegated, ****ed the league, and came straight back up!
I was going to say "double nope" but I'm a bit slow these days.
Languised definition - "be forced to remain in an unpleasant place or situation"
None of us wanted to be in League One - yes we beat plenty of pub teams and it was decent fun - but we did languish there for a season.
Graphs and words. You're a master of both Mr. Shifnal.
Nope. Why would I be jealous of a club whose main ambition was to hit 38 points and then chuck it in every year. It’s funny, because it’s something they laud like it was a massive achievement. A 7 year participation trophy and a cup for finishing 8th once.
Having to become a **** and grow a sixth finger on each hand put me off the whole Boggie idea lol
So back in 2012 / 2013 / 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 when we were either suffering a double relegation, winning a league full of tinpots, or treading water in the champ (okay there was maybe 3/4 months of good football when we almost made the playoffs) - you looked at baggies competing in the PL, taking points off the big boys year after year, etc and thought - "**** that, what a **** position to be in, we are in a much better position"
The reality is that before FOSUN and Nuno came in, everyone would have taken mid-table PL football. Most of us couldn't even see it happening.
No-one ever thought a billionare Chinese investment firm would come in and have ambitions of breaking into the top 6 did they?
We all would have taken mid-table PL football, because we hadn't been competivie in the top division of football since the early 1980s.
I’ve said it before with these lot, they’re in a dark place at the moment. They’re voyeurs looking into our window. And they are angry, angry at themselves for not capitalising on their advantage. They had years to put the boots into us but it’s all undone in a blink of the eye. Now the penny is dropping with some of these zombies and they can see what’s happening. Never jealous of them, I just don’t like um
Were we really forced to remain there though? If anything we forced our way out
We know what came out of our darkness.... We also know what comes out of Sandwell...
No mate. Because I knew what they were. Happy to make up the numbers playing pulisball.
Anyway, i'm off to warm my vocal cords for 90 mins of Rondon/Shelvey-booing!
Now that is a different post from before. You said was I jealous of the ****. The answer still remains the same. Nope, not ever will I be either!
I'm sure Saiss is looking forward to tonight. What's the betting on him kicking Shelvey???
I was never jealous of Albion as they never really showed any sort of ambition. Even their fans never got that excited.
This is different. If roles were reversed now I openly admit there is not a chance in hell I would be able to handle this. It must be ****in horrible.
Great ay it!
Yup. They know that if they do somehow get back up then finishing 17th is the height of their ambition.... Watching us building for the top must hurt so so much .. lol
I think Albion were the only team ever in the Premier League to reduce their capacity.
... and still not fill it lol
The boys still got that electrifying pace
I just think its funny that this time last year we were fretting about our lead at the top being only 7 points, yet at the same point this season that lot are still 7 points off the top in 4th place.
Lots of truths or fait stuff on this thread but that one is wishful thinking. I'd say it's about the least dark place fans have been in seasons. A genuine local hero in charge, goals galore, some absolutely fantastic attacking young players coming through and a promotion battle that's going to the wire. It's certainly a tightrope, but dark it ain't.
The championship is a poor standard this season , if you were in the league last year you would be mid table.
I'm not saying that as a WUM.
I watched your game against Stoke and was a very poor game and standard of football
Couldn't agree more, as said above was a turgid game. We are lucky this isn't last season. It says it all that 7 sides could still win the league.
Indeed, and any of the 7, without a level of spending which FFP wouldn't allow (and Flum prove that spending doesn't guarantee success), if they get up are highly likely to make Uddersfield's season this year look great....
If you don’t go up and we finish in a Europa spot and announce our plans for the stadium with some high profile signings in the mix. I think a few will be in a dark place.
Out of everyone Sheff Utd may tough out a season in the PL... Leeds should have enough about them to recruit correctly to stay up...Albion would have Rondon back, but squad is ageing rapidly, and are the youngsters coming through good enough yet ?
The play offs are sure going to be anyone's guess .... no wonder the bookies are so rich. I'm not ruling Villa out yet regarding a play off spot as they may be lucky enough to get one
Play off scenario Villa, Albion, Derby and Sheff Utd .....Christ!
**** the Albion
