I expect he will go abroad to a top club. Would love him with us and he could fit into anything but we still need to sign players who are on the up like Neves for the moment or perhaps like Moutinho who are top quality but coming to the last two or three seasons of their career. Of course he is on a 'free' so there will be at least half a dozen big clubs here and abroad after him I would have thought.
If he's Arsenal through and through any other club will be second best. His inconsistent form could be because of his contract distractions but would any other club will give him the contract he thinks he deserves?
One hell of a player, would fit perfectly in the way we play football but like a few have said highly unlikely to happen. Cant believe some on here dont rate him.
Agree entirely mate. Although very unlikely to happen he is as you say one hell of a player. A true goal scoring midfielder.
Where would you play him? He wouldn't get in ahead of Neves and Moutinho that's for sure. And we don't play with a number 10 which is probably his best position.
He wants £320,000/week is already on £200,000/week. He's having a laugh. Who the Hell amongst us wants a player with that attitude?
I think he could play where Jota plays or easily in the middle of midfield, good players can adapt and we have one of the best managers in world football at the moment who moulds players into a team and I've no doubt he could coach Ramsey into a deeper more disciplined central midfielder. He seems a hot and cold type of player to me though, he goes long periods where he's ineffective so good luck to him finding someone willing to pay him 300k+, I can't see it happening and he'll probably sign a new deal at Arsenal
He should score goals..that's his job for the money he's being paid. I still wouldn't want him anywhere near us with his stinking attitude.
PSG have announced they wish to speak to Aaron next month Juventus and Bayern Munich known to been working deals too. Do love the wolves fans after all
Read some posts , but can anyone tell me why he has a stinking attitude? Not doubting it but has always come across well to me .
It's not really a sign of bad attitude. Context is needed here. He's at a club -where he has been a consistently good performer- who have handed out some very large contracts in recent windows, contracts that were way above the previous pay scale. As one of their most established players, he wants parity. In any workplace, if you've been there a long time, done a good job, and someone comes ion to do the same job as you and on way more money, you're going to ask for a raise. You might not get it. Your employer might feel the other person is better than you. People may feel the Arsenal signings are better than Ramsey. But it's not a bad attitude to ask for, or to expect, parity with others in your role.
Pre-Contract agreement with Juventus - £400k a week. Must be a different Aaron Ramsey? Aaron Ramsey: Arsenal midfielder signs £400k-a-week deal to join Juventus
I don’t blame him for going. He’s 28 and has the opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, whilst getting a massive pay rise. No brainer for me.
He gets to live in the shadow of the Alps too. It means Juve have now had more Welsh players than English.
The £400k is (from what was said on 5 Live earlier) is his 'basic' salary, so I struggle to wonder what his earning capacity will be with everything all rolled into one. Well there's the money and the toss up between a worldwide club who's name is known in all 4 corners of the world, romantically known as the old lady, or a club called Arsenal.
The Arsenal school of finances: sign talented young players on the cheap, develop them, neither meet their contract demands nor cash in on them, lose them on a free.
ramsey signs for west ham. ramsey gets injured. ramsey joins the rest on the gravy train last payday deal. the end.
