Assuming we stay up which is not at all certain I don't think Lambert if he's still here which is also not certain will go for anybody.
He will persevere with what we've got on the assumption Dicko will come good eventually.

I think we need to send out a few of the young lads on loan, but not like some of the current crop we have warming the benches at Walsall and Shrewsbury - somewhere to get good game time! Even the likes of Zyro having been out for so long may benefit from a stint out on loan

Had forgotten about Zyro - has good physical presence and some skill. After a serious injury can he come back and make an impact? Don't see him as a winger anymore and we are well stocked out wide as it is with Graham coming back and Marshall able to play there.

I really want Lambert to be ruthless in them summer - if we end up with 6 players fighting for the no10 role and no goalscorer or all round midfielder due to a 'bloated squad' I will be bloody frustrated!

I'm struggling to see how players such as Zyro fit in personally

Tammy Abraham would be ideal, but failing that...

I was listening to Radio WM the other day and they were talking about how Bruce wants to play 4-4-2 and that he is struggling to get Kodjia to play with Hogan in a pair because Kodjia is more of a lone striker.

They also said that if Bruce can't get the two to work togther that they may consider selling him in the summer and that he would take a lot of work to get him to be a Premiership striker but that he is great for the Championship.

So perhaps he might be worth considering if we can't find someone else. He seems to create his own chances and has 15 goals this season so far.

    Just a thought.

Villa won't willingly want to sell Kodjia and if he leaves it will be to a Premier club who offer a lot of money for him.

Do you think he is good enough for Premiership? The WM pundits didn't seem to think so. But I guess maybe a lower Prem team. About 15 million value sound about right?

I think he's good enough for a midtable to lower table team in the Premier, but he's a bit of late bloomer and so still plays like some youngsters do, i.e he often trys to do it all himself when it's often better just to pass. But I think it would take more than £15m to get him. I guess it's just a question of whether anyone would be willing to pay the money.

I would look to bring in a physical striker like A.Fletcher/Gallagher/Martin as well as a more pacy forward, Wells/Weimann? Or Baldock if Brighton look to upgrade IF/When they go up.

If Weimann maintains his form he could well be the legs in a decent front two. Do you reckon we could prize Chris Martin from Derby? If so, that'd work for me.

    O
if he'd come i would definitely have him here. Recently signed a new deal at Derby so imagine his future will be there, obviously that may not be the case given that was whilst Mcclaren was there but I don't see why Rowett wouldn't rate him

Don't think he's been mentioned yet, Cameron Jerome - 14 goals in 33 games so far this season. Still quick at 30, good in the air and holds it up, just the type of striker that would work well with Costa, Cav, Marshall and Weimann (who I'd also sign on a permanent).

Not the fashionable choice but I'd love to see him here.

He's a big strong lad and that's what we need, proven at this level. I'd then let Bod or Dicko go.

He's also a bit outspoken at the moment about the situation at Norwich, saying this after the Sheff Weds mauling away from home:

"You’ve got to be honest with yourselves and as players we’re not honest with ourselves.

I think we lack respect for our teammates. We’re not fighting for each other. We lack respect for the coaching staff and all they do for us. We don’t follow the right instructions or orders. It’s like everyone plays for themselves".

Sounds ready for a move to me, despite signing a three year deal in June 16. Money talks...

He's also got five assists this season which is more than most of the other strikers in the leading goalscorer charts.

I don't dispute Jerome is a very good player at this level but why would Norwich sell to a potential promotion rival next season? Why would they sell him at all? Can't see it happening personally.

You could say that about any good player that Wolves try and sign in the summer. But at some point proven quality will have to be obtained if a serious push at promotion is to be expected. I guess it's up to Fosun make the club attractive to the better players, something I think they'll endeavour to do.

They have parachute payments, don't see what they'd gain from it unless Jerome was forcing the move. I rate him just can't see it happening.

Not necessarily. I think of the more realistic options - Ulloa out of favour at Leicester, Assombalonga won't want to play in League One if they go down, Chris Martin *was* out of favour at Derby, Sam Gallagher don't see him breaking into Southampton squad with Gabbiadini/Long/Austin/Rodriguez.

Jerome however is Norwich's best striker. We could offer £10m for Chris Wood if Leeds don't go up but they'd never sell him.

You could say why would Ulloa join Wolves when teams in the top divisions in Europe and maybe beyond will want him, Assombalonga if made available would attract a lot of interest too, Derby would probably be reluctant to sell Martin to a potentlal promotion rival. There will always be question marks when going for any player who's half decent as they'll always have plenty of options.

It's up to Wolves to make a statement and show that they're a club that good players like the ones mentioned above and maybe even better, will want to play for.

Agree about the competition aspect of things. Though I think the most overwhelmingly important factor is the money, what kind of budget will Lambert be working with? That will decide whether we sign another Gladon or progress to signing a striker with a proven record at this level.

We didn't get Cav and Costa because we sold the club to them, we paid £20m for both of them and they'll be earning a fair chunk of wages as well. 2-3 of similar quality down the spine of the team (striker, playmaker, centre half) and we'd at least make the play-offs.

Well that's what I meant, if Wolves are prepared to pay the money then good players will want to join. I can see it being an exciting summer for Wolves fans, as I think Fosun will want to prove a point and go big.

Maybe I'm setting my sights a bit low but I notice Vaughan is scoring for fun at struggling Bury. He's not young and he's a Blues reject but he's fast as **** and perhaps he's finally got his game sorted? Or maybe he's just found his level?

I mentioned him earlier in the thread. Has always been a massive talent but just chronically injury-prone. Wouldn't mind him at all on a 1-year deal but think we will be operating in a slightly higher talent pool in the FOSUN era.

Also like the look of Zohore. 6ft 2, powerful, quick, left footed. Certainly a different option to what we have now.

10 goals in 17 starts (5 sub apps) this season.

Would Jay Rodriguez or Shane Long at Southampton be available do we think? Connor Wickham? Oliver McBurnie at Swansea seems to be a regular scorer for their U23 side. Dwight Gayle if Newcastle seriously upgrade?

All depends on how we want to play, Ulloa, Vokes, Martin can all lead the line but slipping balls inbehind & running into things you'd want somebody like Afobe or Grey.

Abraham seems a bit of both.

Zohore and Hugill are decent shouts, I doubt many on here would be happy with them though.
