Hi John. Many thanks for your loyal and wonderful service at Wolves.

You were the best defender ever at raking the ball off a forwards toe.

How did you feel when Liverpool's famous Emlyn Hughes arrived at Molineux?

Wolves fans were in seventh heaven when John Barnwell bought Crazy Horse.

But this meant you were mainly used as a substitute.

    Hi John
Thank you for the glory years of my youth, you were part of the famous seventies team that I tell my sons about.

What was it like to play in front of a packed and roaring Molineux and what do you remember of the 1972 UEFA Cup final?

    All the Best

    Hi John,
Would you go with annuals or perennials in my flower bed during these winter months?

    :D

Did you know the new Wolves manager has much experience in lawn mowing? He also has a good track record in early rising to do the job.

Would you consider him for a position, should he be in need of a job?

    John,

Thanks for all you did at Wolves. That 70's team were very special, the very reason so many fell in love with Wolves.

If I remember, you only scored 3 goals for Wolves, 2 against Academica Coimbra in the UEFA Cup, and then in the league Cup about the same time v Man City. I have not seen them, which of these was your favourate? I think you also had a disallowed goal v Derby at Molineux but I was very young in 1972?

Secondly (if I may ask a second question), we had an established and trusted back line of Frank Munro, Derek Parkin, and Geoff 'Zico' Palmer. Who of these three do you feel was the most important defender to Wolves?

Thirdly (cheeky bugger I know), which was your favourate ever Wolves match?

    John,

Which 11 players would you pick in your Wolves XI from your time at the club?

Is it true that Fabio Capello spat in Lofty Parkes face in the away leg Uefa Cup Quarter Final versus Juventus and what's your favourite Derek Dougan and Bill McGarry story.

How often do you get to Molineux these days?

Have you visited the new museum and were you charged entry?

Thanks for the great part you played in our history.

Ironically he used to deliver plants to where my brother worked and he got to know him quite well. I remember one fact about John though.... and this will need double-checking, but between about 1973 and 1979 (roughly) he played in EVERY Wolves Cup game... either as an outfield player or a used substitute. I bet John doesn't know that fact! That includes UEFA Cup, FA Cup, League Cup, Texaco Cup (have I missed any?) - totalling approx 70 games. Basically, he played in approx 70 consecutive Cup games!

I researched that fact years ago and posted it to Roy of the Rovers 'Beat Racey' page. It got published, I beat him, and won a tenner!

Maybe ask him if he remembers that fact?

When I was about 10 you came and coached our school football team (Beckbury), did you do this because you could see the great potential in those young fresh faced lads, or was it because we went to school with your daughter?

When your 10 being coached by a professional footballer was probably THE most incredible thing that had happened in my life especially as you played for my team. Was it as exciting for you?
