Not expecting instant recall on the 609 games that you played for Wolves but was there one opponent that always gave you a tough time ?
And just for old times sake might I add what an immense amount of pleasure you gave to the Wolves fans each and every time you played--Thank you.

how did his heart problem affect his ability to play at the top level and his he ok now? how did he come to be one of the best leftbacks weve ever had as his right foot was his dominant side? who had the most influence in the dressing room while he was with wolves?

What left back currently playing would you realistically like to see playing at Wolves..George and Wardy excepted...;)

Did Derek ever feel that he might have got full international recognition and would his chances have been enhanced if he'd played right back instead of left?
How did he feel when Bob NcNab was signed?
During his pomp in the early 70's was there ever any chance of him moving away from Wolves?

Am I correct in saying that when you signed for Wolves you were a right back, before becoming our left back for all those years?

Firstly thankyou for your time with Wolves. You are one of the players I most enjoyed watching in a team which maybe should have won more than it did.
You obviously played most of your football under McGarry although I cant remember whether he brought you in or Ronnie Allen. What did McGarry do most to help your game and what do you think were his strengths and weaknessed? How did the other managers you played for compare?
Also if you could have picked one area in the side that could have been strengthened what would it have been?

Do you think that the role of full back has changed since you were playing ?

You played in a side full of Wolves legends. It might be an unfair question, but which of all the great players you played alongside did you admire the most and why?

Thanks for all the pleasure you gave us as a nailed on Left Back for so many years.

One thing I noticed is that you only scored a handful of goals in your long career - Geoff Palmer the same. I guess that was due to the different tactics used at that time whereas nowadays the full backs have more attacking duties [overlap] also. Can you comment on that ?

What would you say was the biggest game you played in at you time at Wolves. I can't remember if you played in the UEFA Cup Final but you were certainly in the League Cup wins.

Who would you say is the best Left Back we've had at the Wolves since you retired ? Why do you think we've had such a job in finding quality in that position ?

What was it like leaving Wolves after all those years and appearances?

  17. Who was the best left winger/left-sided midfielder you played behind?

    Mr. Parkin - 2 questions
1- you were out for about a season in the early 70's. What did you do during that time? Why did the doc's take so long to give you the "all clear"?
2- If Wolves circa 19701-73 played against the current team - who'd win and why?

    Thanks for the great memories

It was that Wolves team of the early 70's that so many fell in love with, even though we weren't quite top quality.

Which of the two League Cup finals was the greatest occasion in your opinion? I cannot seperate them, both magnificent in different ways. The League Cup was not quite the poor relation it is now, and it certainly was a great achievement at the time.

Did you think painting " Parkin for England" on the old Waterloo Road entrance would help your selection?

Never did understand why you didn't play for England. Best full back I have seen in Wolves colours.

Among the opponents you faced, which individual stands out as the one that concerned you the most when your saw his name on the team sheet? And why was that?

What was it like to be the most costly full back in England after your move from Huddersfield?

Can you relate prices back then to prices now?
