A day that will always live in my memory Wolves are 2-0 down and playing awful. We then score through Kelly, Dennison and Mills. What I will always remember is the pitch invasion after the third, I got onto the pitch with one of our own stewards helping me up on to the pitch as the terracing at the front was really deep. I then spent my time on the pitch running round in circles trying to catch hold of one of the Wolves players. I still laugh about it today and I was 35 at the time!!

I still remember this day with excitement and alarm...before the game enjoyed several pints of beer with Mansfield fans, wnt to their ground and watched a game of football on the training pitches between Mansfield and Wolves fans and then went into the game.

2.0 down and taunted by what could only be described as individuals very low on the evolutionary scale and when we went 3.2 up a number of them pointed at us and let them know what they intended to do to us after the game (including my 65 year old dad).

After the game not only did they find us they attempted to kick us into the next week between the Wolves coaches...the atmosphere after the game was remarkably different to that before. Rumour had it that a large amount of Notts and Leeds fans had come to enjoy the occasion.

I was at this game and will never forget it when Lee Mills scored. I remember this huge Mansfield fan, below us, who was taunting our fans at half time. He got some right stick in the second half when we pulled it back. Needless to say he wasn't very happy with the abuse hurled his way!
It is a game that lives long in the memory.

Ref in a black kit, Goodyear, Wolves in plain white kit, a footballing resurection from Robbie D...those were the days.

We scored some absolute screamers in that season. My favourite having to be Bully against Southend at home, Froggat's run and cross was majestic.

I have to say 94/95 is one of my favourite seasons despite the heartbreaking end. Perhaps it was my teen enthusiasm at the time but it really felt like we were on the verge of something special.

I think had we been promoted that year our contemporary history would have been very different.

I lived in Mansfield at the time, and was due at a wedding reception later that evening and at 2-0, well you can imagine.

What a great evening, phew, thanks boys!

Weird that I found this thread.. The referee worked with me at RAF Cranwell for a few years.. he was a retired Air Electronics Operator. Jeff Walkington I think his name was.

Dennison's comment about his goal amused me. "I was totally knackered, so I just wellied it".

This will always stay long in the memory and when friends and work colleagues ask me what my favourite game ever is, I always say this one.
Despite being season ticket holders, me and my mate always struggled to get our hands on away tickets for FA Cup games. Luckily for us, these tickets went on sale Saturday morning of a home league game so we were able to get tickets.
I remember the football game in the car park before the game and their fans were loving it at 2-0 up. I think they had put Leeds out of the League Cup earlier that season.
The second half was just an amazing turnaround and the small open terrace was bouncing. Robbie's goal was special and could not wait to get home to see the goals on The FA Cup highlights show.
Remember being in the club shop the following home game and hearing a steward laughing about how he had done a Klinsmann. Great memories.
