Get the ferry! I believe you will be able to terminate at James St soon enough which means you're five mins walk from Thomas Rigbys

I'll be going up on the Friday and getting a lift back I think. I've played around with doing that and always don't think it's worth it!

I'm sure they would - that was my point. I think he meant that Plymouth wanted extra tickets, and Liverpool were happy to accomodate that wish.

Although occasions like this are supposed to be about seeing the 'stars' - let's hope they remain arrogant and play the kids. We'll beat the team they put out against Plymouth.

If you're just going one way I'd definitely say it'd be worth it getting an advance single if you're happy to stick to timed train (I know its not everyone's cup of tea re coming back but you tend to know what time you're going). I go that way quite often and can usually get a single ticket for £9.50-£15 if sticking to specific trains.

They've got Southampton in the League cup semi the Wednesday before and Chelsea in the Premier League the Tuesday after....so lets hope they do if we play them. If our team from Saturday played Liverpool's team from Sunday we'd still be in the cup in my opinion!

They're second in the league playing a team struggling below them. On paper it is an easy tie for them. It's a bit like us playing Northampton at home, we'd be confident also.

That being said none of their more genuine sensible fans would take us lightly after the Plymouth result & ours vs Stoke.

liverpool can be a risky place for an away fan so what i intend to do is drink and eat away from the city centre.

i will be at a place called lark lane.

    http://www.larklaneguide.com/drink/page/2/

its an arty, studenty, touristy area with lots of good restaurants and bars with a lot less chance of getting your head punched after our famous victory. ive been there a few times and its a great place to eat and drink.

its about 3 miles from anfield which i will get to and from by uber taxi.

The train will be popular IF this game happens (Fingers Crossed) so I have taken a chance on booking 6 singles to Lime St
Dept 07:20am - Arr 08:44 @ £9.75 ea , the prices will rocket given the short planning time available.

PS ... I have also been to Larks Lane Nr Sefton Park, its a bit poncy if you ask me, Will stick to the City Centre Initially, head down mentality.

If Liverpool win the replay, if the game is untouched by TV and is Sat 3pm KO , no Fri night or Mon night and if tickets reach general sale and I'm lucky enough to get some, I'll be going up with the family. Booked a Warrington Premier Inn today just in case I get some.

Liverpool is a cracking city for a drink, the only dodgy thing are the mouthy little Danny Dyer ****s outside, they have a habit of picking of stragglers, and a blues mate of ours got cut up there, luckily a minor knife wound but he was lucky

Plymouth have allocated Liverpool 2462 tickets for the replay @ £20 each, which seems very fair ! I assume should Plymouth win , we would get similar ? The match is being covered by BT Sport.

Liverpool or Plymouth will be very popular. We will sell out either. Liverpool would be more of a face painting, orange wig kinda day and Plymouth more of a solid traditional cup atmosphere. Due to accessability and tickets available.
Saft as it sounds I think Plymouth will be the tougher game, with Liverpool concentraiting on the Chelsea game.
Looking forward for either aslong as they aint stupid kick off times

    Zero.

Liverpool play Wednesday prior and Tuesday after, both on TV. It has to be Saturday or they have 2 days rest for one of those games.

I've drank in Liverpool city center more than I've drank in Wolverhampton city center and never had trouble myself.

Assuming we get the Reds I would expect the Arkles will be rammed, The Flat Iron is popular as well. In fact the majority of pubs in close proximity to Anfield are old Victorian boozers so are naturally quite small. The City Center is out the way but it's fine as you can get on the train to Kirkdale from L'pool Central.

To be fair, with 8,000 of us dotted around the City Centre, I'm sure we'll be fine. Same rule applies as it does in life, don't be a dick and you'll get no bother!

Is it time for us to set off yet? :D

That can never be denied but pride comes before a fall as they say.
Way I look at it right now is that Wolves are in the 4th round whereas LFC still need to reach it. Whilst likely still favourites to win they have a lot of tough games coming up before facing Wolves should they beat Plymouth. Wolves playing at Anfield really have nothing to lose so to speak.

I wouldn't mind too much, I'd expect Wolves to beat Plymouth and get to the 5th round, even if they had just knocked out Liverpool's kids!

I've never been to Anfield and feel I ought to go before I die. 2 questions - will tickets get to general sale and if I can get one could I go up on a supporters coach from Wolves? It's just too difficult to get to Liverpool and back from South Wales.

Can't see it not going to general sale.

Why not get the train from Swansea direct to MCR (takes about 4hours), then nip across to Liverpool. If you fancy this, let me know and we will make sure we catch the same train from Manchester.
